ad_server: change Group Policy Check strategy execution timeout

Issue/Introduction

We are using the ad_server probe and enabled the "Group Policy Check". 

We are seeing this alarm: 

"ad_server: (ObjectiveMonitor) Checking profile "Group Policy Check" failed. Profile "Group Policy Check": The strategy execution timeout(40000 ms) reached, please disable the profile or try to increase the timeout and make sure the probe has permissions and access to the AD system"

How we can change this strategy execution timeout from 40000 ms to something different?

There is no option in the GUI or in the CFG file.

• ad_server 2.06*

Cause

Hidden timeout key

Resolution

To update the Group Policy Check execution time out add the following key in the profile section. 

 

Steps to apply: 

1. Open ad_server raw configure

2. Go to: ObjectiveMonitor > Group Policy Check 

3. Add a key "execution_timeout" and give the value in ms desired. (Default is 40000 ms)

Additional Information

Note: Do not set the value of execution_timeout to a value higher than the check interval
