Environment

Edge running 5.2.0.x software

Cause

Issue 131891:
For a customer enterprise site where a VMware SD-WAN Edge is deployed either as a standalone Edge or with a High Availability topology, the Edge may experience a Dataplane Service failure and restart to recover, which would result in an HA failover with HA sites.
The issue can be encountered when the Edge (Active Edge in HA deployments) is handling a large traffic load that keeps the Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) engine busy handling HTTPs traffic featuring Server Name Identifier name strings greater than 32 bytes

Please contact technical support to confirm that Issue 131891 is the cause.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in R5220-20231213-GA and later releases.
