Issue/Introduction

In some cases CA Directory write performance requires optimization when working with Identity Minder.

Environment

CA Directory 14.1 SP5 SP6

Cause

While CA Directory performance is excellent for reading, writing is not optimized to that extent.

Resolution

Partitioning when partition instances are working on the same machine can improve performance by up to 160% (2.6 times). Up to 16 partitions (running on the same machine) were tested and implemented at a customer site.

Additional Information

One would expect that setting the parameter user-treads to a number higher than default (8) is sufficient. Although, it is not true.
