Issue/Introduction

  • After configuring a replication/migration in Cloud Director Availability and deleting the replication/migration in Cloud Director Availability, you see the destination Cloud Director Organization Virtual Data Center (VDC) showing a storage increase.

  • In the destination Cloud Director Organization VDC you will see an increased number of running VM's vs the actual number of VM's in the virtual machine view.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.5.X
VMware Cloud Director 10.6.X
VMware Cloud Director Availability 4.x

Cause

This issue occurs when the RT-VM replication is deleted from Cloud Director Availability but the RT-vAPP is not deleted in Cloud Director.

Resolution

This is a known issue that can affect all versions of VMware Cloud Director that support RT-VM's.
