• Replication mapping fails with an error 

          The vSphere Replication Management Server could not fetch source host (id: '#####', name: '######') health checks endpoint API version. Details: 'org.springframework.web.reactive.function.client.WebClientResponseException$NotFound: 404 Not Found from GET https://####/hbragent/api/about'.

Environment

vSphere Replication 9.X

Cause

Driver vmware-hbr-agent was not installed on ESXi server.

ESXi firewall will not list hbr-agent under outgoing connection.

ESXi services will not list hbr-agent listed as a service.

Resolution

Instructions to download and install HBR Agent Component

Downloading the HBR Agent Component from the vSphere Replication Appliance: 

 Via WinSCP - 

Login into VRMS using putty & go to this location. If you find the depot.zip, download it using WinSCP.

Extract the folder VMware-HBR-Agent-8.0.2-0.0.22517424-depot.zip

Browse to location: VMware-HBR-Agent-8.0.2-0.0.22517424-depot\vib20\vmware-hbr-agent

Copy VMware_bootbank_vmware-hbr-agent_8.0.3-0.0.24143343.vib to either /tmp or a datastore location on ESXi.

Run the command to install the vib which requires no reboot.
