DX APM IA ACE extension unable to retrieve the TotalSocketsOpened Resource statistic

Issue/Introduction

We currently monitor our ACE 12 infrastructure using the iib-ia:2023.6.1.5 agent, we use Resource and Message flow statistics to monitor our ACE applications running and we have a new requirement to monitor the TotalSocketsOpened Resource statistic for ACE 12.0.10.0.

Is this metric available via the DX-APM agent?

Environment

• DX APM Infrastructure Agents 23.*, 24.* and onwards
• IBM ACE12

Resolution

If you did not filter resource statistics they should get TotalSockets metrics by default under Resource Statistics|Sockets|summary as per below screeenshot, however, if you have configured introscope.agent.iib.profiles.resource.statistics.nodes in the bundled.properties you need to add "Sockets" as part of it.

 

NOTE: introscope.agent.iib.profiles.resource.statistics.nodes is a hidden property
