Issue/Introduction

On the VMC adapter, the VMC Primary SDDC adapter is showing as Warning.  The Collecting Status = Error.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18

Cause

Cloud admin access account does not have the access privilege to collect billing-accounts statement metric.

The following Error is showing on the VMC adapter log file:

com.vmware.vrops.adapter.vmc.processor.StatementBillProcessor.error - Error occurred while querying urlhttps://console.cloud.vmware.com/csp/gateway/commerce/api/v3/orgs/xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxx/billing-accounts/xxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxx/statements/details?statementCycle=09/2023

com.vmware.vrops.adapter.vmc.util.VmcException: null

Resolution

Disable the collecting of billing account collection setting on the VMC adapter's Advanced Setting:

  1. Login to Aria Operations UI.
  2. Go to Administration > Integrations
  3. Edit the VMC Cloud on AWS Adapter.
  4. Expand Advanced Settings, set "Billing Enabled" to false.  Click Save to save the setting.
  5. Restart the adapter data collecting.

The Warning on the adapter will no longer be showing.
