CA Application Performance Management (APM / Wily / Introscope)

Issue/Introduction

We have installed the .NET APM agent to monitor one of our production applications. Initially, there were no noticeable issues after the installation. However, at some point, our application began experiencing performance problems.

Attributed these issues to the APM agent, citing a CPU utilization spike to 93%. Disabled the agent

It is critical to validate whether the APM agent was indeed impacting the application's performance or if there might be another underlying cause. We seek your assistance to analyze and confirm the agent's performance and its potential effect on the application.

Please  guide us on how to proceed with this investigation? Any tools, logs, or diagnostic steps that can help clarify this situation would be greatly appreciated.

Resolution

The .NET Framework 2.0 is considered "End of Life" (EOS) and no longer receives official support from Microsoft; its support ended on July 12, 2011. This means there are no new security updates or technical assistance available for this version

And we no longer support it as well.
