Issue/Introduction

  • "Certificate Manager tool do not support vCenter HA systems" error, when executing "/usr/lib/vmware-vmca/bin/certificate-manager".




  • Run "cat /storage/vmware-vmon/defaultStartProfile", the result is "ALL".

  • Service vmware-vcha is "Stopped" when checking with "service-control --status --all"

  • In /var/log/vmware/vcha/destroy_vcha.log, there is indication that vcha-destroy command was executed. e.g.:
    yyyy-mm-ddThh:mm:ss.mssZ INFO destroy_vcha *** START: Restore VMON service configuration ***

    yyyy-mm-ddThh:mm:ss.mssZ INFO destroy_vcha *** FINISH: Restore VMON service configuration ***

  • Check vCenter Server's uptime, vCenter Server virtual appliance hadn't been rebooted after executing vcha-destroy command

  • Check vCenter Server's network configuration, only one network adapter (eth0) is configured.

Cause

Active node must be rebooted after executing "vcha-destroy -f" command

Resolution

Reboot vCenter Server virtual machine.
