An AUTOMAP compare is being executed where this warning message is returned: RMA259W RULESET creator.rulename DOES NOT EXIST ORIGINAL RULESET WILL BE USED FOR ANALYSIS
DB2 for Z/OS
The RULESET on the Rule Database Services is defined with a TRG SSID equal to one of the members of a Datasharing Group. The AUTOMAP is using the Datasharing Group Name as the target SSID.
The AUTOMAP is unable to deduce the actual target SSID from the Datasharing Group name and does not find the Ruleset for that reason.
Example: DSGP is the Datasharing Group, DSMM is a member SSID of this group.
RCC's rule table is searched explicitly for the TRG SSID of DSGP during analysis and does not locate the ruleset specified with TRG SSID DSMM. Changing the ruleset's TRG SSID will allow that search to properly locate the ruleset due to the inability to identify the data sharing group location.
Specifying the DSGROUP SSID(DSGP) or an * on the RULESET TRG SSID resolves the problem.
The reason that the RULESET with TRG SSID of * is found is because if the original ruleset's TRG SSID is not located(DSGP), an additional search is done on a TRG SSID of *.
So, the resolution is to create the RULESET and MASKSET definitions with a TRG SSID of * or with the DS Group SSID not the DS Group member SSID if the DSGROUP SSID is used as the Target for the compare.
