vSphere Client Hardware->Firmware tab is missing information

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

The vSphere Client Host->Configure->Hardware->Firmware tab is missing BMC information and Storage adapter firmware version.

Environment

VMware vCenter

Cause

These vCenter vMODL fields are empty as they are not populated by the backend ESX server.

Resolution

There is no fix at the moment.

• Workaround:
  • Please use the esxcli commands to fetch the missing BMC and Storage adapter information.
