-551 SQL Errors not Captured all the time

Issue/Introduction

CA Detector for z/OS is not Capturing the SQL Error -551 (The DB2 z/OS security is externalized to RACF). The RACF Message ICH408I is issued but -551 SQL errors are not always in the Detector Error Repository.

Environment

Cause

1. The maximum number of SQL errors to collect for an interval as defined in the collection profile has been reached.  
2. The collection profile can Exclude SQL from being collected via the “Collection Profile Plan Exclude/Include Group”.  
3. Exclude SQL error codes from being collected via “Collection Profile SQL Error Exclusion Group “ 
4. A new feature added the capability to exclude collection of specified SQL statements via “Collection Profile SQL Call Type Exclusion Group”.  

Any of the above can cause some -551 to be collected but not all.

Resolution

Detector should collect the -551 for all SQL being collected. Check the possible causes for Non collection as listed above.
