Issue/Introduction

Only in Clarity Classic, if you have a process that locks the plan start and finish dates so others cannot accidently or purposely change those dates, when you try to copy the cost plan the copy function errors with Error: REVMGR-20931:Invalid period(s).  and will not copy.

Environment

16.2.3 and 16.3

Cause

STR:

1. Create a manual start process on the Cost Plan object and set a system action to lock the Start and End dates of the plan.

   - This is the only step needed.  Go to Finish and Validate and Activate the process.

Note: You can also make an unlock process to take care of any locked plans which may require unlocking.

2.  In Classic Clarity create a cost plan, can be a manual plan.  Add one line to the plan.

3.  On the cost plan details go to the processes tab and initiate the lock process just created so the 2 fields lock.

4.  Copy the cost plan (Actions: copy cost plan)

Expected Result:  The cost plan copies.

Actual Result:   The plan does not copy and throws error Error: REVMGR-20931:Invalid period(s).

Workaround:  Do the copy in MUX.

Resolution

Reported as DE160365.  Fix targeted for 16.3.2
