Issue/Introduction

Software update for office (MS24-11-VL2024) fails referencing missing CAB.

Warning from agent log:

"12/16/2024 8:24:35 PM","Errors were detected in the Office logs. For more information, please see C:\Windows\Temp\EDUWCV0109-20241216-2024.log.

Note: please ensure that:

1. all required languages are selected in the Import task and all files are available in the package.
2. Office image source address is not blocked (for example: by firewall rules)

Environment

Cause

Certain CABs may belong to specific language required by Office.

While in most cases an administrator knows what languages are in use, it may happen user may be using a different language.

Searching for specific sp643082.cab from warning, it showed this CAB belongs to Spanish language.

Resolution

The solution is to add Spanish language to PMimport setting.

OR

Manually add missing CAB files into software update package.
