Right shift key does not work in VM's Web Console

Issue/Introduction

Typing the right shift key in a vSphere Web Console or VCD Web Console does not work.

Environment

This issue can occur on Windows 11 and Google Chrome/Microsoft Edge with multibyte languages ​​using the new Microsoft IME

• OS: Windows 11
• Browser: Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge based on Chromium
• IME: Microsoft IME

Cause

This is not a VMware issue. It's an issue between Microsoft IME and browsers based on Chromium (Google Chrome/Microsoft Edge).

Resolution

Workaround

• Use VMRC
• Use Firefox
• Set Microsoft IME to compatibility mode
• Turn off Microsoft IME
• Use other IME (eg. Google IME)

IMPORTANT : The compatibility is affected not only by the VM’s Guest OS and browser, but also by the OS and browser of the PC used to access the vSphere Client.
