Tenant Organizations are not collected. Organizations are missing and not listed for selection in Chargeback Organization Overview Dashboard

Issue/Introduction

In Aria Operations, under Operations > Configuration > Inventory Management > Organization, there are no tenant organizations listed. On the Chargeback UI, under Organization Overview dashboard, there are no Organization listed.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18

Cause

• VMware Cloud Director (vCD) adapter is collecting, but Organization objects are not imported. The following configuration under the vCD adapter Advanced Settings were set to "false"
  
  • "Filter By Provider VCDs List"  (was set to false)
  • "Filter By Organization List"      (was set to false)

 

Resolution

• Login to Aria Operations UI.
• Edit the vCD adapter, then expand "Advanced Settings"
• Ensure the following fields are cleared (remove the word "false" from the setting")
  • "Filter By Provider VCDs List"
  • "Filter By Organization List"
• Save the changes and perform a restart on the collecting of the vCD adapter.
• Go back to Operations > Configuration > Inventory Management > Organization, the Tenant Organizations will now be imported and listed.
• On the Chargeback UI, the Organization Overview dashboard will also be populated with the imported organizations.
