Issue/Introduction

A yellow banner message is seen at the top of the page that reads:

VMware Aria Operations is currently in subscription licensing. Track & manage licenses by logging into VMware Aria Hub Subscription. GO TO THE VMWARE ARIA HUB SUBSCRIPTION

Environment

VMware Aria Operations 8.16.x
VMware Aria Operations 8.18.x

Cause

Aria Operations is licensed by a subscription license such as VMware Cloud Universal.

Resolution

VMware Aria Hub Subscription is no longer used for tracking on-premises subscription license usage.

The banner message can be dismissed by clicking the X on the right side of the banner. It is safe to ignore this message.

The banner message will be removed from a future version of VCF Operations.

Starting April 26, 2024, Subscription Manager will no longer support new onboarding of subscriptions. Existing subscriptions will only show SaaS usage. On-premises usage will be available for historical purposes only.
