Issue/Introduction

The test “GENERAL-CHECK” has a status of COMPLETED_WITH_FAILURE.

One of the GENERAL-CHECK tests shows below message.

name    : ** SDDC: PSC Ring Topology Status
status  : FAILED

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 4.x

VMware Cloud Foundation 5.x

VMware Cloud Foundation 5.1.x

Cause

The Error is related to failed  while Workload provisioning an invalid vCenter Server may have been added to the PSC ring topology.

Make sure that It is important to do agreement  in sequence and register with the PSC Nodes when creating the next one.

 

Resolution

  • Validate the vCenter replication partners and their agreements, remove agreements with invalid Node using vdcrepadmin tool. We can unregister any invalid Node from the ring using cmsso-util tool.

  • showpartnerstatus - Displays the current replication status of a PSC and any of the replication partners of the PSC.
  • createagreement   - Allows for creation of additional replication agreements between PSCs within a vSphere domain.
