Issue/Introduction

Please confirm if in AIOPS using the UMA agent , can we scrape metrics using podmonitor or servicemonitor?

If it is supported could you please share official document stating this.

Prometheus and UMA

Prometheus is an open-source monitoring and alerting solution. Prometheus scrapes metrics from cluster HTTP/s endpoints that expose metrics in the OpenMetrics format. OpenMetrics is a Cloud Native Computing Foundation project for transmitting cloud-native metrics.

Prometheus also provides the Prometheus Query Language (PromQL) functional query language.  PromQL allows you to run queries to select and aggregate time series data in real time. External systems can consume the aggregated time-series data using the HTTP API.

The Universal Monitoring Agent (UMA) can ingest the metric data from both Prometheus sources. UMA uses the Prometheus exporter tool to scrape the Prometheus endpoint metrics. UMA can also run PromQL on the Prometheus server to collect the aggregated time series data.
