Issue/Introduction

OBS rights don't seem to be available for Key Results. For example, assign an OBS to the Objective object, create a sub object under objective object. Assign some OBS rights to the Objective object. I'm able to assign Objective OBS rights, and the custom sub-objects OBS rights but I can't find the Key Results OBS rights. I only see Global Rights for Key results. How can I assign OBS rights to key results to align to the parent object OBS?

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Add OBS rights to a group
  2. Select the Object - no Key Results listed (it's a sub of Objective)
  3. Select Objective but you don't have Key Results rights.
  4. Create another sub object of Objectives you'll see those OBS rights

Expected: See the OBS rights in system
Actual: OBS rights on Key Results not there
Workaround: None

Further Analysis:
If you compare to Investment object Cost Plan you see access rights for the parent, but not the same for Objective. Should we expect to see Objective - Edit - Key Results in OBS, if we model after Project Cost Plan the access rights looks like this, Project - Cost Plan - Edit, Project - Cost Plan - View.

Resolution

Regarding DE157565 - OBS Rights on Key Results, the exclusion of OBS Rights on Key Results was not something we specifically made a decision to exclude... it was more of an oversight in implementation. After consulting with Broadcom Development team, they have determined since there is quite a bit of work to enhance the product rights they will take this up an an OKR feature implementation. To achieve both Key Results rights (already included) and OBS rights from Objective for a stock object is not straightforward. Both of these rights need to be honored and similarly, we need to take care of Actual Value and Target Value objects rights (which are sub objects of Key Results). So considering both development and QA efforts, we feel more confident to work on this as a User Story, which is better suited for this type of work. So the plan is to 'convert' this defect to feature work and start working on it in FY25-Q3.
