DLP Agent Exceptions for OneDrive Actions in CASB

Issue/Introduction

Both Symantec DLP and CloudSOC (CASB) provide support for monitoring OneDrive.

You want to know if it's possible to create exceptions to prevent incidents on CASB for actions performed on OneDrive by existing DLP Agents.

Cause

Although Symantec DLP and CASB can integrate with each other to provide enhanced security, they remain two distinct products. The DLP Agent operates separately from CASB, and the two systems do not share direct interaction for OneDrive-related actions.

 

 

Resolution

It is not possible to create exceptions in CASB for actions performed on OneDrive by existing DLP Agents. This limitation exists because CASB does not recognize or interact with DLP Agents. Currently, there is no supported method to configure such exceptions. Users should manage exceptions within each product's capabilities separately.
