invoking autosys_secure in silent mode

Issue/Introduction

autosys_secure is an interactive application and only some options allow to be operated silently. 

Environment

Resolution

Create a text file with the option values that needed to be selected interactively and input that file to autosys_secure. 

 

For example, lets say Unauthenticated user mode = TRUSTALL  is to be set.   The path that one would take is:

• invoke autosys_secure  and pick option #2, followed by option#1, followed by option#3 

[1] Revert to NATIVE instance security.
[2] Manage CA EEM security settings.
[3] Change database password.
[4] Change remote authentication method.
[5] Manage users.
[6] Get encrypted password.
[7] Manage password vault.
[8] Manage security profiles.
[0] Exit AutoSys Security Utility.

please select from the following options:
[1] Manage CA EEM server settings.
[2] Manage cached credentials.
[9] Exit from "Manage CA EEM security settings" menu.
[0] Exit AutoSys Security Utility.

Manage CA EEM server settings

Please select from the following options:
[1] Show current CA EEM server settings.
[2] Set CA EEM server location and regenerate certificate.
[3] Set unauthenticated user mode.
[9] Exit from "Manage CA EEM server settings" menu.
[0] Exit AutoSys Security Utility.

• Based on the above, the option values inputted are:    2, 1, 3, 5 ,1
  
  
• Create a file called input.txt with below contents:

• Save the file
  
  
  
• use the file input.txt as STDIN for autosys_secure:   autosys_secure < input.txt


• This should execute the same options,  2, 1, 3, 5, 1    and set the Unauthenticated user mode to  TRUSTALL

 

In a similar fashion, other options can also be set/obtained.
