Issue/Introduction

Regarding NetMaster Network Management for TCP/IP. We're upgrading from CARS 2209 Maintenance to 2410 on four LPARs. The LPARs are not in a Sysplex, but they are connected via JES lines. Are we able to perform upgrades one system at a time while still maintaining functionality between the different levels of NetMaster Network Management for TCP/IP? or is it recommended to deploy the new Maintenance level across all LPARs at the same time?

Resolution

There is no problem if you upgrade CARS from 2209 maintenance to 2410 on your four LPARs one system at a time. If you have the time to deploy the new maintenance level across all LPARs at the same time that would be a good option.

There is no requirement to synchronize any updates with this maintenance. If there was, it will be in the SMP/E HOLDDATA that will documented this.
