When attempting to setup the log provider in Cloud Director the configuration fails with the error "No subject alternative names present"

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to configure the log provider in Cloud Director the following error shows in the UI:

Hostname verification failed: java.security.cert.CertificateException: No subject alternative names present

Environment

Cloud Director 10.6.1

Aria Operations For Logs 8.18.2

Cause

This is caused by the default certificate on Aria Operations for Logs not having a Subject Alternative Name field.

Resolution

Install a certificate that has a subject alternative name extension on Aria Operations For Logs.

Additional Information

Cloud Director requires hostname verification in 10.4 and later.  For more information see KB 320513.
