Avi Virtual Service creation fails with error "Image object not found!"

Issue/Introduction

When creating a virtual service on a newly deployed controller it may fail with error "Image object not found!"

Other indicators of this issue include:

• You will find the following log message in the cloud connector logs -- /var/lib/avi/log/cc_agent_go_<CLOUD_NAME>.log
  

  2024-12-05T19:04:43.597Z        ERROR   cloudagent/images.go:118        Failed to get Image Info for SE Group serviceenginegroup-UUID. Failed to fetch Image Details for Image ID . GET operation [image:] failed. Object not found 

• CLI command "show image" will return message "No result."
  
  
• The directory /hosts/pkgs/ on the controller will be empty
  
  
  
  
• The image list under Administration > Controller > Software, will show "No items found"
  
  

Environment

Affect(s) Version:

30.2.2

Cause

This is a known issue on 30.2.2 where time synchronization during the controller's fist data initialization is disrupted.

Resolution

This issue will be addressed in the next 30.2.x GA releases.

Workaround(s):

The controller will require a factory reset to recover from this issue.

1. ssh to the controller with the admin user
2. Launch the CLI (shell) and login with the admin user
3. Enter the command `reboot clean`

***NOTE: This reset wipes/erases all configuration.

After the reset operation completes you can continue with reconfiguring the system.
