Issue/Introduction

VM State Change, VM Inventory Change, and VM Location changes widgets in the vSphere Daily Check incorrectly opens the vSphere VM Inventory dashboard.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18

Resolution

Disabled the interaction by Editing the vSphere Daily Check dashboard:

  1. Go to Operations > Dashboards.
  2. Search and select the vSphere Daily Check dashboard.
  3. Select Actions > Edit Dashboard.
  4. Click Show Interactions.
  5. Under VM Location Changes widget click on the arrow and select vSphere VM Inventory to remove interactions.  This will remove the dotted line to List of VMs widget in the vSphere VM Inventory.
  6. Do step 5 for VM Inventory Change and VM State Change widgets.
  7. Click Save up top.

Clicking on the widget should now display the metric now instead of redirecting to the vSphere VM Inventory dashboard.
