Issue/Introduction

The Intelligent Assist Icon is missing in the NSX IDS/IPS and Threat Detection and Response screens. This icon provides easy access to Intelligent Assist for VMware vDefend features and allows users to interact with security insights.

Environment

Applies to all versions of Intelligent Assist for VMware vDefend.

Cause

The missing icon could be caused by one of the following reasons:

• Chrome extension is not installed/enabled.
• Chrome extension is not activated.

Resolution

1. Check if the Chrome extension is installed and enabled:
   If the Chrome extension is not installed, follow these steps to install it:

   • Visit the Chrome Web Store and search for the Intelligent Assist for VMware vDefend extension.
   • Click Add to Chrome and follow the installation prompts.

2. Ensure the Intelligent Assist for VMware vDefend Chrome extension is activated.

3. Refresh your browser: 
   After activating the extension, refresh your browser to ensure the icon appears.

• Ensure your browser is up to date for the best experience.
• If you continue to experience issues, try clearing the browser cache or reinstalling the extension.
