No available edge gateways returned when creating new network in VMware Cloud Director

Issue/Introduction

When creating a new Organization VDC Network with the scope of "Organization Virtual Data Center" we will be unable to create a routed network type. A warning message will return that the VDC has no available Edge Gateways.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.5

Cause

This is due to a Data Center Group being created on the org VDC.

Resolution

Validate whether the Org VDC should have a data center group. If so we can not use the scope of "Organization Virtual Data Center" and must specify the data center group. Otherwise we will need to delete the Data Center Group if it was created by mistake:

1. Go to the tenant portal for the Org VDC.

2. Select "Networking" and "Data Center Groups".

3. Delete the Data Center Group that is causing the issue.

4. Re-attempt creation of the Org VDC network from the network tab.
