Issue/Introduction

The admin loses the Admin Key or the key gets compromised while using Intelligent Assist for VMware vDefend.

Environment

Applies to all versions of Intelligent Assist for VMware vDefend.

Cause

During activation, the Intelligent Assist for VMware vDefend extension requires the user to download and securely store the Admin URL and Admin Key. The Admin Key is essential for accessing the Admin Dashboard. Since the extension never displays the Admin Key again, losing it means the admin cannot manage users, approve browser requests, or access usage statistics.

Resolution

Submit a Broadcom support ticket referencing KB article 206567.
