Unable to specify DHCP for the NIC while creating a Scale Group in Org VCD in Cloud Director

Issue/Introduction

• Misconfiguration when we are  creating a VMs in Cloud Director Scale Groups
• Unable to specify DHCP while creating a Scale Group using the wizard in VCD
• Deploying the VMs using the policy previously predefined, the VMs are  created are getting a static IP from static IP pool, instead of using DHCP configured on the Tenant

Environment

VM<ware Cloud Director 10.5.1.1

Cause

Auto scale group will rely on the static pool mode to fetch IPs for VMs part of Scale group irrespective of Network having DHCP or not.

Resolution

This is an expected behavior in the current release of Cloud Director.
