Resolution

Identify the Managed Object ID (MOID) for the alarm to be removed

  1. Log into the vCenter MOB using administrator credentials.
  2. Click on 'content' in the VALUE column under the 'Properties' table.
  3. Click the DataCenters rootFolder object.
    • By default this will be 'group-d1 (Datacenters)'.
  4. Click the triggeredAlarmState from the VALUE column.
  5. Click the alarm MOID in the VALUE column.
    • Example: alarm-123.
  6. Click on info in the VALUE column.
  7. Confirm the description and name match the alarm that needs to be removed.

Remove the Alarm

  1. Follow steps 1 through 5 above, or press the back button in your browser to return to the alarm.
  2. In the 'Methods' table, click RemoveAlarm
  3. Click Invoke Method.
  4. Confirm the alarm has been removed from the affected object in the vCenter UI.
