Issue/Introduction

When upgrading the Bulk Loader Client, we followed the documentation's instructions and began by uninstalling the existing Bulk Loader (version 14.5.0) before proceeding with the installation of the newer version (14.5.1).

However, during the installation of version 14.5.1, we noticed that the option to choose an installation location was no longer available. In version 14.5.0, we were able to specify the desired installation directory, but this option was missing in the 14.5.1 installer. It seems the installer defaults to a "Typical" installation, bypassing the usual choice between "Typical" and "Custom," thereby determining the installation location without user input.

Cause

Uninstalling the product using the default Windows Program Files method often leaves residual traces behind.

Resolution

To fully remove the feature, use the Virtual Appliance Tools by selecting Change Virtual Appliance Tools Installation from the Windows Start menu and following the required steps. This method ensures that all registry entries and other remnants are properly uninstalled.
