Issue/Introduction

Running JCLCheck with the TMS runtime option and gets the following security errors:  

TSS7220E 106 J=name A=acid VOL=nnnnnn ACC=READ DSN=dataset.name
TSS7225E DATASET NOT ACCESSED THROUGH AUTHORIZED PROGRAM
TSS7230E DSN: dataset.name
CAL0C0SF 08 106 acid  /JCLCHECK/SYSTEMS.

Program pathing is used.

Resolution

Issue the TSS PERMIT PRIVPGM command for the following programs: 

  • JCLCHECK
  • TMSSVC
  • ISPTASK  - if running JCLCheck in ISPF
  • IKJEFT01 - if running JCLCheck in ISPF

Additional Information

- The program that needs authorization is found on the CA 1 CAL0C0SF message.  Example: CAL0C0SF 08 106 acid  /JCLCHECK/SYSTEMS.  

- A Top Secret security trace may also be used to determine which program/resource requires authorization.
