Issue/Introduction

  • You are unable to extract a host profile of an ESXi configured for NSX.
  • The following error is displayed:
    Please extract profile from a host that has a vnic attached to a dvPortgroup. Extract is not allowed for a vnic directly connected to a dvs
  • The following error is observed in vCenter /var/log/vmware/vpxd/vpxd.log:

Cause

The systemOwned flag of NSX vmknic (VTEP) is unset
