Issue/Introduction

Unable to use *Asterisk on the Type column within LOGIN Objects in V24

In 21.X for login objects, in the Type column the 'placeholder' option is available:

However in v24.2.x this is not available:

This means, that UC_SMGR_LOGINS can not be configured for server process(es).

As per documentation:  Type: By default, you can only select the platform types of agents listed here. For server process(es), enter the asterisk symbol (*) here.

Cause

The issue has been confirmed to be a bug by our Dev team.

Resolution

Update to a fix version listed below or a newer version if available.

Workaround:

1. Set the Agent/Name as *, set the Type as anything - example 'Windows', type the username.
2. export the UC_SMGR_LOGINS as xml.
3. open the export, edit the xml file manually, and set Type="*" in the xml & save.
4. import with overwrite.
5. now open the UC_SMGR_LOGINS, retype the password and save.
