How to manually failover Tier-0 or Tier-1 gateways

Issue/Introduction

• You want to manually failover Tier-0 or Tier-1 gateways.
  For example, for maintenance or debugging purpose.

Environment

Resolution

• Make the gateway preemptive and configure Preferred Edge.
• Make the Edge node where the active SR is running maintenance mode.
• Make all the BGP or OSPF down for the active Tier-0 gateway.
  • It will make only the Tier-0 gateway fail over. Tier-1 gateways on the same Edge node do not fail over.
