Invalid Cloud Director Credentials or Unauthorized user! error in the UI when validating the connection for VCloud Director Availability Adapter instance

Issue/Introduction

• Collection for VCloud Director Availability adapter shows as collecting but object down with message 'Adapter credentials are not valid. Please check adapter logs for more information'
• When validating the connection to VCloud Director Availability we receive the error in the UI similar to Invalid Cloud Director Credentials or Unauthorized user!
• Error in the VCloud Director Availability logs under /storage/log/vcops/log/adapters/ shows the error similar to

• Using VMware Aria Operations Management Pack for Cloud Director Availability 1.4 
• Using VMware Cloud Director Availability 4.7.x 

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.x

Cause

There is an issue with the management pack VMware Aria Operations Management Pack for Cloud Director Availability 1.4 

Resolution

Workaround is to update the Security settings for Restrict Admin APIs by source IP to Allow admin access from anywhere as per doc .

A patch for this is currently being worked on in and it will be released in due course
