Issue/Introduction

  • L4 Virtual Server is configured with Persistence
  • This issue is triggered by disabling Persistence on an L4 Virtual Server
    • NSX Manager UI > Load Balancer > Virtual Servers > Persistence > Deactivated
  • Traffic traversing the Virtual Server is impacted
  • Traffic traversing other Virtual Servers on the same Edge with Persistence configured may also be affected
  • Deleting a Virtual Server that has Persistence enabled may also cause this issue
  • Edge logs shows Nginx crash

Resolution

This is a known issue impacting VMware NSX.

Workaround:

Place the Edge in/out of Maintenance Mode
