Service name "VMware SVGA Helper service" changes to "VM3Dservice" after updating VMware Tools to 12.5.0 on a non-English Windows OS.
The VM3Dservice itself starts normally and there is no impact.

The above registry entry does not have ”displayname” and ”description”
Environment
VMware Tools 12.5.0 only
Guest OS : Non-English Windows OS.

Issue regarding local language strings into VMware Tools 12.5.0
Resolution
Update to VMware Tools 12.5.1 or greater
Additional Information
This is just a display name issue and has no impact on VM3Dservice. Users can ignore it.
