Unable to extend PVC on older clusters after applying the upgrade script with Container Service Extension 4.2.1

Issue/Introduction

• Drivers were upgraded as per the article 380724
• The clusters that cannot be extended are created with an older version of Container Service Extension(CSE).
• Upgrade script as listed in the documentation for the version CSE 4.2.1 was already applied, but the expansion still fails.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.5.x

VMware Cloud Director Container Service Extension 4.2.1

Cause

The upgrade script cluster-upgrade-script-airgapped:v0.1.3 for CSE 4.2.1 fails to update some of the components of the cluster.

Resolution

To resolve the issue, use the cluster-upgrade-script-airgapped:v0.1.4 script listed in the documentation for CSE 4.2.2 version. The versions of CPI, CSI, CAPVCD and RDE Projector referred to in both these versions are the same and compatible with CSE 4.2.1.
