PowerCLI - vSAN Performance Data can't be collected

Issue/Introduction

When using PowerCLI scripts with the ControlUp tool for evaluating vSAN performance, the error message appears “Permission to perform this operation was denied” or the data is empty.

 

Environment

vCenter Server 7

vCenter Server 8

 

Cause

Storage policy is not configured correctly

Resolution

Select a storage policy for the Stats database object (step 6 in Configure vSAN Performance Service)
