Issue:

You are getting this error in the reporting:

Error RPT-0013: You do not have the proper privileges to run the report. Please contact your system administrator.

Environment:

Under Windows and linux

Resolution:

1.- Login in to the CA PPM Clarity server O.S. and under the file system where you have Clarity installed look up the file named "properties.xm", open it and under the line:

<reportServer vendor="bo" webUrl="http://BOXI_SERVER_NAME:8080" home="" serviceUrl="http://BOXI_SERVER_NAME:8080/dsbobje/services/session" volumeName="BOXI_SERVER_NAME:6400" username="administrator" password="" databaseId="Niku" trustedAuthKey="&&&&&&&"/>

Has you see you should find at the end of the line "trustedAuthKey=" ,if this is not set, you do not have a "trusted authorization key" saved under the Clarity NSA please enter the Administrator password, confirm password (this is the user to enter the BOXI CMS)and enter the trusted authorization key that you will have to put all so on the BOXI side.

Note: Also test from the CA Clarity PPM server that you can communicate to the port 8080 and 6400 of the BOXI Server, you could have problem because of a Firewall or a port that could be disabled.

3.- Under the BOXI server, once login as the Administrator, the same one you put in the NSA, you will find your self in the main option, select:

    > Under Manager the option [Authentication]

    > Select [Enterprise]

    > Mark the option [*] Trusted Authentication is enabled

      Enter the same "Trusted authorization key" that you put in the Clarity NSA

    > Once finish press [Update] in order to save this option.

    > Reports and Job

    > search for a job called "Create BusinessObjects Users" and run it. Once you have confirmed that the job has run complete and finish "Completed", now you are ready.
