Issue/Introduction

When we assign and revoke two different lists within a single task, we encounter the following failure. The revocation fails while the assignment is completed (both in VST and as observed in M365).

The JCS log shows an error message stating:

org.apache.directory.shared.ldap.exception.LdapNamingException: JCS@imTest: JNDI: Cannot modify the account's mailbox attributes for Account Name: [email protected]. Add-DistributionGroupMember: Test|Microsoft.Exchange.Management.Tasks.MemberAlreadyExistsException|The recipient "test" is already a member of the group "IM Test". [Root exception is javax.naming.NamingException: javax.naming.NamingException: Cannot modify the account's mailbox attributes for Account Name: [email protected]. Add-DistributionGroupMember: Test|Microsoft.Exchange.Management.Tasks.MemberAlreadyExistsException|The recipient "test" is already a member of the group "IM Test".]

Environment

Release : 14.5.1
Component : CA Identity Manager

Resolution

Engineering provided a fix to resolve this issue as part of defect DE619191. It needs to be applied on top of IM standalone 14.5.1 CHF1 environment. If you face the same issue then please create a support ticket and request for the fix.
