Issue/Introduction

In SDM the default search fields have been modified to search Title and Summary fields only. However, this does not change the search behavior in Service Point.

How to set up default search settings for Service Point to search Title and Summary fields only.

Environment

Service Point 17.x

Service Desk Manager 17.x

Resolution

1. Take a backup of the xFlow\APPS\Services\searchmicroservice-17.0.479\conf\application.conf prior to any change and locate the backup file in a different folder.

2. Modify the application.conf with the following:

2.1 Search for "esearch.entity.suggestedSolutions" in line 1563

2.2 Under esearch.entity.suggestedSolutions, remove the "problem" and"resolution" from the items in green in the screenshot below:

2.3 Save Changes

2.4 Run the rebuild batch from the Search Server

2.5 Restart xFlow services

2.6 Remove cache from browser or try in an incognito window ( to avoid using browser cache)
