Issue/Introduction

  • When you try to delete the network pool from the UI you get the error below:

    [ ########-####-####-########197b ] I/O error on GET request for "https://nsx.example.com:443/api/2.0/vdn/scopes/vdnscope-5": nsx.example.com; nested exception is java.net.UnknownHostException: nsx.example.com


  • The network pools is related to an NSX-V instance.
  • The NSX-V instance was already decommissioned and deleted.
  • The decommissioned NSX-V instance is still registered with VMware Cloud Director (VCD).

 

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6

Cause

This issue can occur if  NSX-V instance was already deleted and VCD is not able to reach it.
