Issue/Introduction
We have examined them and identified an undesired behaviour in the Cloud Service Broker. The undesired behaviour can be recreated by:
Creating a service instance with Deletion Protection enabled
Attempting to delete the service instance without first removing the deletion protection. This results in the deletion operation failing.
Upgrading the Cloud Service Broker. During the process of upgrading the Cloud Service Broker incorrectly continues some aspects of the previous delete operation, removing details of the service instance from the Cloud Service Broker database.
Resolution
v1.12.2 has the fix. Prior to this release upgrades would remove records from the Cloud Service Broker database for services instances that have had a failed deletion.
