Issue/Introduction

SNMP Not working for interfaces if non-ascii names are used in WAN link Name. Non-ASCII characters in the WAN Overlay name would SNMP to timeout. Although snmpagent.py-IfTable(interface mib), snmpagent.py-IfxTable, snmpagent.py-IpAddrDeprTable, etc (Corresponding interlinked mob). are a separate process from the above mentioned snmpagent.py-veloedge process, all of them are responding to a single parent process which is “snmpd” process.
This would be causing a bottleneck at snmpd which is hogged by delayed responses from snmpagent.py-veloedge process. So the responses from these processes are actually stuck in the queue in snmpd process.

Environment

All Velocloud SD-WAN version

Cause

Non-Ascii characters are not supported and should be avoided while configuring PeerName or WAN link names

Resolution

Changing from Non-ASCII to non-unicode string would resolve the issue.
