GIM69179S Error during SMP/E JCL Pax installation for version PAN/SQL 2.6

Issue/Introduction

Performing a new installation for version PAN/SQL 2.6.

Successfully downloaded the pax.Z file and started the installation, everything went fine until the step:

Submit PSQ20RCB to receive SMP/E base functions. 

Job abends with an RC=0012 with the following error:

GIM69179S ** RECEIVE PROCESSING FAILED FOR SYSMOD CAX4260 BECAUSE THE DATA SET NAME SPECIFIED FOR THE RELFILE DATA SET IS THE SAME AS THE DATA SET NAME SPECIFIED FOR THE SMPTLIB DATA SET. THIS IS NOT ALLOWED.

 

Environment

z/os DB2

Cause

The SMPETEMP Hlq parm is set to CAI. CAI datasets are invalid at this site.

e.g 

SMPETEMP CAI 

Resolution

Change SMPETEMP CAI to a valid HLQ. Using a personal Userid e.g SMPETEMP USERID.TEMP  is fine.
