Issue/Introduction

For a New Action, on the default environment, the type Script and ZIP can both be selected.

When the ZIP selection is chosen, the prompt for Import of the package is shown. However, when switching back to custom defined environments in that same action, (ie. with downloaded modules and/or Environment variables defined) the window for selection of type (Script or ZIP) disappears and only the Import for the ZIP package and handler function/entrypoint is shown.

When the ZIP package is re-imported and the handler function is defined again, the Action cannot be run and fails to find the module file that is defined in the handler input field (whereas in the default environment it correctly finds the entrypoint).

When the Script type is selected and the environment switched to custom environment, the Type combo box for ZIP or Script selection completely disappears, preventing selection of ZIP package into custom environment.

The ZIP import and handler function text box both remain in the UI after selecting the ZIP package in the default environment and switching to custom environment.

Environment

Aria Orchestrator 8.16.0

Aria Orchestrator 8.16.2

Cause

This is confirmed to be a bug. The UI should not accept a ZIP for custom runtime environments, as the dependencies from the custom environment might clash with the ones provided in the zip.

Resolution

The issue is scheduled to be fixed for the VCF 9.0 release.
