Starting with Aria Operations 8.18, you can add licenses to monitored vCenter systems from Subscriptions > License Management. When doing this process, you may get a message: "License key(s) could not added to the vCenter system(s)

Click on View Details and The Status column will show as "Failed" and clicking the blue information icon shows a similar message "The license key could not be added to vCente

In the example above, ID 462058 is the internal ID of the Infrastructure Health Adapter instance associated to that vCenter server.
Aria Operations 8.18.x
The Infrastructure Health Adapter instance associated to the vCenter is not functioning properly.
